Wheel of Life Assessment

Okay, this is just a really short video. I’m just sharing one of the pages that is below this video and what is called is a wheel of life exercise. This exercise is going to take you like two or three minutes.

So, here’s what you’re going to do. The wheel of life exercise is actually a really interesting exercise to do occasionally. You could do it monthly, you can do it twice, more when you’re in the program. You can do it at the end of the program, you can do it as often as you want.

And basically, what it does is, it allows us to see what areas of your life need improvement, okay. So, here’s what you’re going to do.

I have nine different categories here: health and wellness, career and business, spirituality, finances and money, personal growth, creativity and joy, family and friends, love and romance, and fun and leisure.

And what you’re going to do is in each of these categories, I just want you to spend like, just a few seconds or even a minute to imagine if I were at a ten; from zero being like totally not satisfied to 10 being completely fulfilled in this area.

So, health and wellness. So that gap, if I were to be a 10, what would that look like? Okay, so just imagine what that would look like and we’re going to use that again later on, okay. So, try not to forget what that would look like.

And then try to gauge where you are today, on a scale of 0 to 10, okay. And then that’s what you’re going to put in that number and then move on to the next one.

So, career and business, what would it look like if I was completely fulfilled in that area? Okay, just imagine what that would look like. And then where are you right now in relation to that?

So, you’re going to go through that with all of the nine categories. And once you get down to the bottom, first of all, fill in your name and your email address up at the top. And then once you’re done filling in all of the numbers right over here, okay.

Then what you’re going to do is you’re just going to click on the button that says, create my chart and whatever email address that you put in into the top little text area is where that’s going to go.

All right, so that’s all I have for you right now. It’s pretty fun and again, we’ll use that again later on.

Create your Wheel of Life using the tool below. We’ll use this tool in creating goals.

  1. Review the 8 Wheel Categories – think briefly what a satisfying life might look like for you in each area (Hang on to that vision – we’re going to use it in the not too distant future).
  2. Next, pick a number that represents your CURRENT satisfaction score for each area.
    • For each category, enter a value from 0 (low) – 10 (high) indicating how satisfied you are with that area of your life right now.
    • IMPORTANT: Use the FIRST number (score) that pops into your head, not the number you think it should be!
  3. Click Create My Chart when you’re happy with the values, to see the result, and a copy will also be emailed to you so that you can refer back to it, and compare with future versions.

  • Balance is personal and unique to each individual – what may be satisfying or balanced for some may be stressful or boring for others.
  • This exercise can raise your awareness and allow you to plan a life that is more satisfying and closer to their definition of balance. It also helps clarify priorities for goal-setting.
  • Balance must be assessed over time. A regular check-in (eg. with this exercise) can highlight useful patterns and help you learn even more about yourself.
