Introduction: Self-Trust & Accountability

How do you start to gain trust with yourself so that what you SAY you’re going to do, you ACTUALLY do? As we’ve been going through this program, I’ve been doing some of it for you, but to really be successful on your own, you’re going to have to practice constraint. Not biting off more than you can chew. AND if you realize that you’re doing too much, its totally up to you to scale back and not make it mean that you’ve failed.


All right, welcome to week 21. Week 21 starts our last module. Our last module is all about self-trust, discipline, and consistency. And so, what we’re talking about this week is I’m talking about how to bust through plateaus. I’m talking about how to build self-trust and then I have another video on being discerning. And there’s not going to be anything really new in this month, but we’re just going to be tying everything up.

All of the videos, probably that I’m going to share with you with the exception of one or two are probably going to be things like, yeah, Elizabeth, we’ve already gone through this. But hopefully, I’ll be able to talk about it in a different light that will make sense.

So, in this month, what we want to do is we want to wrap up all of the loose ends. We want to make sure that you are successful going forward and that you don’t feel like you need to go on a diet ever, ever again.

Hopefully, within this course, you have figured out how to honor your body, how to listen to your body, and how to pay attention to those very subtle signals. Now, I also want to mention that you will relapse. Okay. And I don’t say that to scare you or anything like that, but this is still. Even though, we’ve been working on this for six months, five months at this point.

But even though, we’ve been working on this, you have 40 plus years of programming that we’ve been trying to undo in this course. And so, there may be times when you quote unquote, fall off the wagon, there’s no wagon, but you may fall off the wagon. And the idea there is that you just get right back on.

Remember what we’re trying to do is we’re trying to build resiliency. We’re trying to build the fact that there is no failure. That the only failure is when things don’t come out as we expect them to.

And then, the negative self-talk that happens on the other side of that. When we don’t have that negative self-talk on the other side of things, not resulting the way that we expected them to. What happens is that we just continue doing what we were doing and that’s how we find success.

So, that negative self-talk, that inner critic is 100% optional. And the future version of you who is successful, doesn’t have that going on in her head. So, again, I just want to reiterate that when we look at our behavior from the point of view of the future version of ourselves, then you have no way, but to be successful. All right?
